Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
The short version: your measurements never leave your browser. This page describes the few things that do travel over the network.
What stays on your device
- Circles, routes, shapes and measurements you draw are computed and kept locally.
- Shared links encode map state in the URL itself — no server stores it.
- Recent address searches may be cached in your browser's local storage to speed up repeat searches; clearing site data removes them.
What is sent to third parties
- Map tiles: OpenStreetMap serves the map imagery. Standard web-server logs apply on their side.
- Address search: the text you type is sent to Photon and/or Nominatim (OpenStreetMap geocoding services) to return location results.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 collects aggregate usage data (page views, general region, browser type). It is configured without advertising features; IP addresses are anonymized.
- Advertising: this site displays ads. Ad partners may set cookies or use similar technologies subject to your consent choices. Where required by law (EEA, UK, Switzerland), a consent banner lets you accept or reject personalized advertising before ad cookies are set. See your ad partner's own privacy policies for their practices.
What we never do
- No accounts, so no names, emails or passwords are collected.
- Your GPS position is never transmitted — geolocation is used only inside your browser to position the map.
- Drawn circles, routes and shapes are never uploaded.
Your choices
You can block ads and analytics with any standard browser extension or by disabling cookies; every tool remains fully functional without them. To exercise data rights (access, deletion) regarding analytics or advertising, contact [email protected].
Changes
This policy is updated when the data practices change; the date above always reflects the current version.
